Appius provided Fugro with digital marketing, CMS, and content support services, utilising technologies such as Google Ads, LinkedIn, Google Analytics (GA), Google Tag Manager (GTM), Umbraco and Adobe Marketo Engage to enhance their online presence and optimise their digital strategy.
The value of the website was still in question at the highest level of the organisation – could it actually generate sales leads? Was there a way in which it could support the organisational transformation going on, moving away from primarily a traditional energy focus towards a well diversified portfolio of services including renewables and sustainable infrastructure development.
Appius provided strategic and digital marketing led input to a complete redesign and replatforming of the global website. We engaged our search engine optimisation and analytics services to truly focus on measurable website and organic search performance across multiple global regions.
After achieving new levels of website ‘SEO health’, organic search success and measured lead generation Appius moved on to pilots for paid campaigns across Google Ads, LinkedIn and more. Having proved value and r.o.i. from organic and paid activity digital became a lead to the Fugro global marketing strategy.
As well as transforming the components and use of the martech stack the Appius Experience & Engagement team adopted a new CMS – Storyblok – for the client. We supported the configuration and use of the new platform for the website redesign. The wider Appius team have also taken on the support and enhancements for Fugro’s Umbraco based intranet.
The Appius Experience & Engagement team are an extension of the Fugro Global digital team, inside and outside of UK working hours. We have helped Fugro to get the best from their new experience platform and configure the right balance of agility and control, particularly around the highly time sensitive and accuracy dependent quarterly releases of global financial updates to shareholders and the market.
The development of the role and value of digital at Fugro has been explosive. Our support and services now extend beyond the digital team at Fugro into all aspects of global and regional marketing and recruitment. We provide direct training, consultancy and support to central teams in the Netherlands but also every region of the world in which Fugro operates.
We continue to help Fugro evolve their martech stack and use to gain further digital transformation and performance benefits. This new journey is taking us deeper into the areas of ‘marketing automation’ using digital channels and Adobe Marketo Engage. This new area of 1 to 1 ‘always on’ automated ‘performance marketing’ for joined up prospect, customer and careers journeys is extremely exciting – for all those involved in geo-data solutions look out for this!
