The scene

Fugro is the world’s leader in geo-data solutions. Fugro had a functional website that conveyed the company positioning and services, served to update investors and capture interest from potential employees. The company really needed a digital strategy and to transform putting digital at the heart of their communications and business value.

The value of the website was still in question at the highest level of the organisation – could it actually generate sales leads? Was there a way in which it could support the organisational transformation going on, moving away from primarily a traditional energy focus towards a well diversified portfolio of services including renewables and sustainable infrastructure development.

The story

The technical transformation

As well as transforming the components and use of the martech stack the Appius Experience & Engagement team adopted a new CMS – Storyblok – for the client. We supported the configuration and use of the new platform for the website redesign. The wider Appius team have also taken on the support and enhancements for Fugro’s Umbraco based intranet.

The Appius Experience & Engagement team are an extension of the Fugro Global digital team, inside and outside of UK working hours. We have helped Fugro to get the best from their new experience platform and configure the right balance of agility and control, particularly around the highly time sensitive and accuracy dependent quarterly releases of global financial updates to shareholders and the market.
