We engaged in two simultaneous projects – the new marketing website and a completely new version of the travel booking portal. The marketing website has a new responsive delivery of their ‘angled’ brand with parallax effects, whilst retaining full content manageability of the site. The fundamental structure and content were improved to generate more leads.
Our user experience work on the new portal incorporated innovative new behavioral psychology concepts with ease of use for travel booking. The solution was prototyped, tested and iterated with varied Capita clients as well as the implementation managers who would configure for each customer.
Diverse technical components have been merged and Optimizely serves as a lead data repository. Our technical journey on the portal has involved extensive collaboration and close working with Capita’s I.T. team, enabling the portal to integrate with both their bespoke .NET profile management tool, CRM, and a host of external reporting, travel data and authentication services. The Capita project management and I.T. teams have experienced our ‘working closer’ methodology. Both Appius and Capita development teams feel like they are working as a single entity delivering and innovating for the rest of the Capita business and its clients.
Optimizely has already been leveraged for its great strengths in delivering great UX and client and company level configuration and branding capabilities. New phases of work will make fuller use of Optimizely personalisation and digital marketing campaign features.
